International pediatric Cardiac nursing symposium
Call for abstracts for poster presentations

You are invited to submit an abstract for a poster presentation for the 3rd International Pediatric Cardiac Nursing Symposium.

We welcome abstracts from RNs and advanced practice nurses with a focus on the areas of clinical practice, education, leadership or research. Abstracts will be peer reviewed with consideration given to a clear and concise description of content, pediatric cardiac nursing care focus as well as importance and depth of topic. Two winners will be selected to orally present their poster on the final day of the symposium. The two winning abstracts will be published in the new journal Congenital Heart Disease: Clinical Studies from Fetus to Adulthood.

Poster presenters must register for the conference.

Deadline for abstract submission is Sept. 15, 2006.

 

Abstract submission guidelines

Abstracts must be submitted via e-mail in Microsoft Word 98 or higher format. Please limit abstract to one single-spaced page using Arial font size 10. The following sections should be included:

• Title

• Names of authors, credentials and institutions

• Objectives

• Methods

• Results

• Conclusions

Please submit abstracts via e-mail to:

Please note "poster presentation" in the subject line.

In the body of the e-mail please provide the following:

• Poster title

• Primary author's name and credentials

• Additional names of authors, if any, and credentials

• Please indicate who is the corresponding author and provide the corresponding author’s:

  • Daytime phone number

• Categorize the abstract in the appropriate category:

  • Leadership

  • Education

  • Research

  • Clinical practice
