Does your child suffer from separation anxiety?
Just about anyone will
occasionally feel unsettled in new surroundings or amid unfamiliar
people. A toddler's reluctance to go into the arms of a new person
is a natural reaction, and so are youngsters’ start-of-school
jitters.
But stress that interferes with daily functioning might be
separation anxiety.
A Texas Children's
Hospital specialist offers details about the early signs of
separation anxiety, including what to watch for as your child
matures.

Healthy
tips to build healthy kids
This Halloween, entice
trick or treaters with lower-calorie items such as packages of
low-fat crackers with cheese or peanut butter filling, Peppermint
Patties, Junior Mints, 3 Musketeers and Raisinettes. Fun, non-food
treat options include stickers, crayons, pencils, colored chalk,
erasers, whistles and baseball cards. Plus, there's an added
benefit: These items can be stored during the year, so
there's no temptation for your family to overindulge in leftover
candy. |
