    From Dr. Swaim

    Laurie S. Swaim, M.D., associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, serves as the director for the Division of Gynecology and Obstetrics at BCM and the Chief of Gynecology at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Swaim graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her medical degree with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City followed by her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Houston-Hermann Hospital. Dr. Swaim is a section officer of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and a member of a National ACOG Committee. Her clinical interests include patient education, intrapartum obstetrics, and gynecologic surgery.
