Dr. Rivenes' clinical interests include transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, outpatient cardiac care in the Texas Children's Health Center Sugar Land, and inpatient cardiac care at Texas Children's Hospital. She teaches Pediatric Cardiology fellows and Pediatric residents, coordinates the weekly fellows' core teaching conference, and serves as mentor for the Fort Bend ISD Gifted and Talented Mentorship Program. Dr. Rivenes has been actively involved in research projects and efforts to minimize sudden death in student athletes, including outfitting AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in Fort Bend ISD schools and participating in the Texas Education Agency Multicenter Early Cardiovascular Screening Pilot.
