    From Dr. Michael

    Dr. Michael provides care for all pediatric renal patients and her special interests include renal transplantation, hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) and nephrotic syndrome. She has a holistic approach to patient care.

    Dr. Michael’s research interests include conducting Cochrane Systematic Reviews and she has done systematic reviews on treatment of urinary tract infections as well as on interventions of hemolytic uremic syndrome and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. She has recently completed a 20-year retrospective review of pediatric renal transplantation outcome with long-term dual immunosuppression of renal transplant patients at Texas Children's Hospital.
