Specialty Residency in Pediatric Pharmacotherapy:
Application Process

   
 

 

To apply for the residency, the following must be completed prior to the on-site interview:

  • A one-page typed narrative describing career goals and reasons for pursuing the residency
  • Online application
    • Go to www.texaschildrenshospital.org and select "Careers"
    • Select "Apply On-Line Now"
    • Search for "Pharmacist" and select "Past 3 months" from the drop down menu
    • Apply for "Pharmacist (Acute Care)"
    • Select "Register" and supply a login and password of your choosing
    • Select "Copy and Paste Resume Text"
    • In the Resume Title area, type "Pediatric Pharmacy Residency"
    • Copy and paste you CV into the box and click "Continue"
    • Fill out the rest of the required information and submit your application.
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Transcript of course work from Pharmacy School
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation.
    • At least one recommendation from a recent employer and one from a professor or instructor is preferred.
    • The applicant should waive the right to review the recommendation prior to mailing (i.e. the recommendation should come directly from the person writing the letter.)
The deadline for receipt of applications for the residency program is on or before February 1st, we recommend postmarking all materials by January 14th. An on-site interview is required. We plan to notify candidates for interview times at the beginning of February.
