 Pharmacy Department

 

   

 

Our pharmacists are currently involved in a variety of activities; responsible for traditional services (order entry, preparation, check) and also some clinical activities, including: monitoring TPN’s, aminoglycosides, vancomycin and methotrexate to ensure safe and appropriate medication management. Clinical pharmacy specialists round with various medical teams on a daily basis and serve as a liaison to the respective medical services.

  • Central Pharmacy
    • Prepares and dispenses all medications in a four batch per day process.
  • PICU Satellite
    • Prepares first dose, stat dose and last minute prep items for the Main OR, PICU, and NICU.
  • CVICU Satellite
    • Prepares first dose, stat dose and last minute prep items for the CVOR, CVICU, Cath labs and acute care cardiology floor.
  • Acute Care Satellite
    • Prepares first dose, stat dose, chemotherapy and last minute prep items for all acute care floors.
  • Emergency Center Pharmacy
    • Services the EC, RTA, and supports after-hours outpatient dispensing.
  • Outpatient Pharmacy
    • Provides services for patients visiting the Clinical Care Center, as well as patients being discharged from the hospital. (Limited insurances accepted.)
  • Home Care Infusion Pharmacy
  • Cancer Center Clinic Pharmacy
    • Provides services for patients treated in the ambulatory clinic.
