Community education

Speakers bureau
We can arrange speakers for groups of at least 25 parents on various child safety topics. Contact Seema Patel at 832-828-1308.

Safe sitter training
The best babysitter is a safe sitter. Safe sitter is a medically accurate instruction series that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for young children. Safe sitters learn:

  • Rescue breathing and choking first aid

  • Safety precautions to prevent injuries

  • Business tips for successful babysitting

  • Tips on basic child care and behavior management

Safe sitter notes: printable Acrobat form for parents or care givers to fill out with contact information and give to the safe sitter.

For more information or to register your son, daughter, babysitter, contact Sarah Gangross Valkner at 832-828-1313. Safe sitter classes are held during the summer.
