Texas Children’s patients and families
can set up their own voice mail using CareMessages, a
personal voice mailbox for patients to record updates and receive
messages from friends and relatives. This free, secure
service allows you to:
- Share news and updates about your
child through the voice mail greeting, which can be changed at
any time
- Receive messages from family and
friends
- Continue support and care for your
child without disruption
All patients admitted to Texas
Children’s Hospital have access to a CareMessages voice mailbox.
Information and instructions for use can be found in your inpatient
room welcome book. If you need help setting up your greeting,
resetting passwords or retrieving messages, call guest services at
832-824-7827 or your patient representative at 832-824-1919. If you do not have
instructions for use in your hospital room, tell your nurse or
patient representative, and he or she will help you.
You can also keep in touch on the Web with
CarePages. Texas Children's Hospital and TLContact have
partnered to help you use the Web to communicate with loved ones
while your child is in the hospital. The CarePage service allows
you to easily build a customized Web page.
CareMessages and CarePages are private, password-protected systems
that are unique to each patient and comply with all patient privacy
regulations.
Patient Privacy
Texas Children's Hospital will at no time disclose or provide any
patient information in connection with this service.
